DIR Fee Reform

APhA-supported legislation to reform pharmacy direct and indirect remuneration (DIR) fees was introduced in the U.S. House and Senate by Reps. Peter Welch (D-VT) and Morgan Griffith (R-VA) and Sens. Jon Tester (D-MT) and Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV).

Please contact your Member of Congress and Senators today to ask them to co-sponsor the Pharmacy DIR Reform to Reduce Senior Drug Costs Act, a bill that would bring down Medicare beneficiary out-of-pocket costs, avoid further losses to pharmacies, including closures, that reduce patient access to care. The need for reform is necessary if patients are to retain access to convenient and effective pharmacy services.
