Equitable Community Access to Pharmacist Services

Provider status legislation reintroduced: ACT TODAY!

We need your help in supporting the “Equitable Community Access to Pharmacist Services Act’’ or “ECAPS,” (H.R. 1770, S. 2477) which was reintroduced in the House earlier this year and just recently introduced in the Senate. Last year, Congress came close to including language from ECAPS in an end of the year omnibus package. To continue this momentum, we ask that you reach out to your member of Congress to support and cosponsor this important piece of legislation.

ECAPS would ensure patients continue to have access to essential pandemic services provided by pharmacists including:

  • Testing: COVID-19, Influenza, Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), and Strep Throat
  • Treatment: COVID-19, Influenza, Strep Throat, RSV
  • Vaccinations: COVID-19, Influenza, Pneumococcal, Hepatitis B.

Given the strong support of ECAPS by over 82 organizations representing patients, seniors, and rural Americans, we are asking our members to urge Congress to support this bill by cosponsoring H.R. 1770 and S. 2477.

Take action today, by using our pre-written, editable advocacy alert to ask your Members of Congress to ensure patients’ access to pharmacist-provided patient care services.

Thank you for taking action! Your participation helps advance pharmacy for the betterment of the profession, your patients, and your communities.
